We have had another productive week at Learn 4 Life, filled with exciting activities and experiences for our pupils. Here is a quick roundup of the highlights:
Animal Therapy Visit
This week, we were delighted to welcome Hill Vale Animal Therapy to our school. They brought a wonderful variety of animals for our pupils to interact with, and it was truly heartwarming to see how much the students benefitted from the experience. The animals provided a calming and enriching environment, and many of our pupils were able to engage in hands-on learning, which they thoroughly enjoyed.
Farewell to Our Guinea Pigs
A bittersweet moment for the school community: our two beloved guinea pigs have now moved to their new home at Applecast Farm. Kaitlyn kindly took them to their new guinea pig friends last week. We know they will be happy in their new environment, and we will miss their little faces in school.
Bowling and Haigh Hall Visits
Several of our pupils had the chance to take part in a fun and engaging session of bowling this week. The friendly competition and team spirit made for a memorable experience. Additionally, some pupils visited Haigh Hall, enjoying the beautiful surroundings, and learning about the history of the area. It is always wonderful to see our students exploring new places and expanding their horizons!
Food Tech: Steak and Dauphinoise Potatoes
In Food Technology, pupils have been busy in the kitchen preparing a delicious meal: Steak with Dauphinoise Potatoes. It was a fantastic learning opportunity, allowing students to enhance their cooking skills while working with fresh ingredients. We hope they enjoyed their culinary creations!
Visits to The Engine Rooms and Bikemech
Some of our pupils also had the opportunity to visit The Engine Rooms and Bikemech this week. These hands-on experiences are always a hit, giving students a chance to learn about mechanical engineering and the world of bikes. It is fantastic to see our pupils exploring different industries and career possibilities.
Grounds Tidied for Winter
Our dedicated gardener has been hard at work tidying the school grounds in preparation for the colder months. The outdoor areas are now looking neat and ready for the winter period, and we are all set for the next season of learning.
As always, thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in school life. We look forward to another week of exciting activities and continued progress for all our students.
