It has been another productive week here at school, with a range of exciting activities and events that our students have thoroughly enjoyed.

On Thursday, we were pleased to welcome the Wigan Sexual Health Team, who visited to speak with the pupils about important aspects of sexual health. The session provided valuable education and opened important conversations. Additionally, our staff have also received extra training from the Wigan Sexual Health Team, ensuring that we are well-equipped to support our pupils moving forward.

In terms of sports, this week the students enjoyed both football and boxing. The football session was full of energy, with the students working on teamwork and skills. Boxing provided a fantastic opportunity to develop focus, discipline, and fitness.

We were also joined by Hillvale Animal Therapy on Thursday, where students had the chance to interact with a range of animals. This experience not only helped the students to relax but also taught them about empathy and animal care, with therapeutic benefits for all involved.

We would like to make everyone aware of our new sign-in and sign-out procedure. There is now an iPad in the hallway for everyone to use to sign in and out of the building. This is a simple and effective way to track visitors and ensure the safety of our pupils and staff.

Looking ahead, Learn 4 Life will soon be adopting a new management system, which will centralise all student information and data. This system will allow parents, carers, and pupils to view learning progress, with individual access assigned. More information will be shared as we go live with this system around early March.

As we head into the weekend, please be cautious of the strong winds expected in the area. We encourage everyone to stay safe and warm. We look forward to seeing all students back next week for another productive week of learning.
