Learn 4 Life Newsletter – 10th May 2024

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

I hope this message finds you well. As we find ourselves fully immersed in the exam season, I wanted to take a moment to connect with you all and provide some updates from Learn 4 Life School.

First, I must extend my sincere apologies for the recent lack of communication via our school newsletter. The past weeks have been exceptionally busy as we have been diligently preparing our students for their upcoming GCSE and Functional Skills exams. The dedication and hard work exhibited by our students during this period of revision and practice have been truly commendable. I am proud to witness their commitment to their studies and their determination to succeed.

Amidst the exam preparation, our students have also been engaging in various activities across different subjects. In Food Technology, they have demonstrated their culinary skills by creating some delightful shortbread biscuits—a testament to their creativity and talent. Additionally, we recently hosted an Ariel hoop class where our students showcased their impressive skills. Special mention goes to Kaitlyn, whose hoop proficiency left our instructor thoroughly impressed.

Beyond the classroom, our students have been thriving in their vocational placements, receiving glowing feedback from employers. It is heartening to see their dedication and the positive impact they are making in their respective fields.

In the spirit of new beginnings, I am delighted to announce the newest members of our Learn 4 Life family: James and Dan, our Russian Hamsters. They have quickly settled into their new home at our school, bringing joy and excitement to our students. We are thrilled to welcome these furry companions into our community.

Furthermore, I am pleased to share that we will soon be welcoming Becky, our new teacher, to our team. Her passion for education and dedication to student success make her a valuable addition to our school, and we look forward to her contributions.

As we approach the weekend, I encourage all students to take some well-deserved rest and relaxation before returning refreshed for the week ahead. Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, and we eagerly anticipate welcoming our students back next week.

A visit to the pet shop

A few weeks back, L and K accompanied Holly on a trip to the pet shop to purchase our two new school pet hamsters. Please meet James and Dan. Here are some photographs from the day they were brought in, along with students enjoying their time with them.

Dan definitely needs more practice!!

K had a great time during her hoop lesson this week, and judging by the photographs, Dan enjoyed it just as much!
