Learn 4 Life Newsletter  13th September 2024

I hope this message finds you well. I have several important updates and reflections to share with you this week.

Remembering Our Beloved School Pet

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the sudden passing of one of our beloved school hamsters, James. James brought so much joy and comfort to our students and staff alike. Pets like James play a unique role in our school community, teaching our children about responsibility, empathy, and the cycle of life.

We understand that this news may be upsetting for many of our pupils. Our staff are here to provide support and to help our students understand and cope with this loss. If you feel your child needs additional support, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Excellent Engagement in Classes

On a brighter note, I am thrilled to report the exceptional engagement we have seen in classes recently. Our students have shown remarkable enthusiasm and dedication in their studies, participating actively in lessons, and collaborating beautifully with their peers. This level of engagement is a testament to the hard work of both our students and our dedicated staff.

Culinary Delights in Food Tech

Our Food Technology classes have been bustling with activity, and this week, our students prepared delightful chili con carne. The aroma wafting through the halls was simply mouth-watering. The students did an excellent job, and many have expressed a newfound interest in cooking. We encourage parents to ask their children about their culinary experiences and try the recipe at home!

Hillvale Animal Therapy Visit

We had an amazing experience with Hillvale Animal Therapy this week. Their visit brought a wonderful array of animals, providing therapeutic benefits and unique learning opportunities for our students. The sessions were both calming and educational, and we are grateful for the positive impact this had on our school community.

Exciting Educational Trips

Our students recently enjoyed two fantastic educational trips:

  • History Museum: The trip to the History Museum was a tremendous success. Students explored various exhibits and participated in interactive sessions that brought history to life.
  • Lewis Carroll Museum: Our visit to the Lewis Carroll Museum was equally inspiring. Students delved into the world of literature, learning about the life and works of the famous author. It was a magical experience for all involved.

We are incredibly proud of the progress and achievements of all our students. Let us continue to support and encourage them to reach their full potential. Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in our school community.
